Scouting Report. 10/11 vs. Colorado. Oregon Ducks. 13. player. 820. Pick Analysis. won 17-7 vs. California

Oregon survived a defensive battle against Cal in Pac-12 North action on Saturday evening, prevailing 17-7 against the Golden Bears at Autzen Stadium to improve to 4-1 on the year. The Ducks won despite coughing up three turnovers and nearly losing another fumble, and despite not taking a lead until late in the third quarter.

The Ducks heated up as the game went on to post more than 400 yards of offense against a tough Golden Bears defense. Justin Herbert was 20-of-33 for 214 yards. Herbert threw a touchdown, but he aloso tossed his first interception of the season in the first quarter to kill Oregon’s opening drive. The ground game churned out nearly 200 yards, led by Travis Dye’s 81 yards on 15 carries.

Oregon will hold on to their spot at the pivot point in the AP Top 25, but they turn around and have a short week before hosting Colorado in an interdivisional battle on Friday night in Week 7. After the Buffaloes, Washington and Washington State loom later in October and will help determine which side takes charge of the Pac-12 North race.
