10/12 vs. South Carolina. 2. player. 814. Pick Analysis. Scouting Report. won 43-14 at Tennessee. Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia also stands to benefit from their Week 6 win in Knoxville over Tennessee. Entering the weekend, the Bulldogs were just 51 points behind Clemson for the No. 2 spot in the AP Top 25. With the Tigers on their bye week, Georgia did enough in their 43-14 victory over the Volunteers to leapfrog the defending national champions.

Jake Fromm had another incredibly efficient game, throwing for 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 24-of-29 passing. The ground game continued to produce by committee, finishing with 240 rushing yards as a team on 40 carries. D’Andre Swift led the way with 72 yards and a touchdown and added 72 more receiving yards on four catches out of the backfield.

The Bulldogs stick to divisional play in Week 7 when they return home to Athens to take on South Carolina between the hedges. Kentucky also comes to Sanford Stadium in October before Georgia takes their second bye of the season on the last weekend of the month. If they keep winning in convincing fashion in SEC play, they will remain locked in a top-three spot no matter what else happens around the country.
