Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. lost 10-3 at No. 19 Michigan. 878. 10/12 vs. Penn State. Iowa Hawkeyes. 18. player

Iowa is due to drop three to five spots in the AP Top 25 this week, though they are likely to drop completely out of the teens after a close 10-3 loss on the road against No. 19 Michigan on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor. The Hawkeyes coughed up four turnovers and finished with a net rushing total of just one yard as a team.

Nate Stanley was tormented all day by the Wolverines pass rush, losing 65 yards as he was sacked eight times. Suffering from the pressure even when he wasn’t taken to the turf, Stanley threw three interceptions and finished without a touchdown as he finished with 260 yards through the air on 23-of-42 passing.

The Hawkeyes have to dust themselves off quickly after their first loss of the season, as they face Penn State in another tough interdivisional matchup. If they can get past the Nittany Lions, Iowa will restore their position somewhere in the mid-teens. A second straight loss, however, would probably be enough to get a bunch of AP voters to drop them off their ballots entirely.
