5. Ja’Marr Chase has a huge month

Ja’Marr Chase is the premier receiver for LSU. He is coming into this month with 20 grabs for 397 yards at 19 yards per catch! Chase sits third in the country in receiving yards per game and that number is heavily skewed because of the Georgia Southern blowout where he only caught two passes for 21 yards.

The biggest stat on the sheet for Chase however is the touchdown grabs. He has five thus far on the season through three games played. That puts him at 14th in the nation in touchdown receptions.

Chase has proven to be a deep ball threat with catches of 41 and 64 yards. The last two games played also showed that he can be a possession receiver with eight and 10 receptions respectively. He has some stout competition coming up and I’ll bet that he starts getting attention for the opposing star corner.

During the month of October, I see Ja’Marr Chase putting in lots of work. Chase will average over 20 yards per catch, 100 yards per game and stays on his current run of at least one touchdown per game. Those numbers will put him in the upper echelon of wide receivers in the country.
