1. Bent but never broken

After opening up the month with what should be a blowout victory over the Purdue Boilermakers, Penn State travels to Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes. While Penn State is the superior team, any road game that involves Iowa is always tough. But Penn State stands up to the challenge and takes care of business, bringing up the Michigan Wolverines in the White Out game.

From the looks of this game early on, it looks like the White Out game from 2017. Penn State will run away with this one, ending any hopes of Michigan competing for really anything worth noting in the postseason.

In the final game of October, Penn State goes head-to-head with the Michigan State Spartans for the Land Grant Trophy. The Spartans’ offense will have its work cut out for them that day. And even though the Spartans have a good defense, especially in the run game, the Nittany Lions triumph once again.

Penn State gets some fight from its October foes but wins by double-digits in all of them. This might be the boldest as their final three teams have a lot of question marks and have the talent there to compete. But when a team like Penn State is hot, it’s hard to stop them regardless of who is trying to take it down.

With Sean Clifford and KJ Hamler leading the offense, and the defense crushing their opponents, going undefeated through October is very likely, and who knows, maybe 2019 has something special in store for the Nittany Lions — cough, cough, the playoff.
