The Fighting Pat Narduzzis found a way to beat Duke football yet again, ending the Blue Devils’ hot streak. What’d we learn from the Duke loss?

Football is a funny game sometimes. Watch enough football and you’ll find out that the game is literally never over until you see four zeroes on the game clock.

The Blue Devils were outplayed in the first half, but kept their composure and made a game of it in the second half. Pitt did everything ot could to help them back into the game with a muffed punt, fumble and interception in the second half.

Not only did the Panthers turn the ball over three times in the second half, they committed 14 penalties including a targeting penalty late in the fourth quarter.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Panthers found themselves down 33-30. In other words, the Panthers had the Blue Devils just where they wanted them. Pitt defensive coordinator Mark Whipple called the perfect play as the Blue Devils attempted to dial up pressure, and got burned as Kenny Pickett found V’Lique Carter for the go-ahead touchdown.

What’d we learn from the Blue Devils’ disappointing loss to Pitt in Week 6?
