This is probably an unfair ranking, but I think it’s a sign for things to come for the Golden Bears this season.

I’ve continued to say that the defense will keep them in any game, and that happened again as they held the Ducks to just 17 points. This unit is truly special, that is great at all three levels of the defense, qualifying it for this tier as good in that phase.

But the offense, is not on the same level, to put it mildly. Losing Chase Garbers is probably a season defining moment, and I think this team will have a hard time finishing above .500 without him. Devon Modster is just not good.

The Buffs continue to be my favorite team to watch, as every game is an absolute shootout, and points on both sides are all but guaranteed.

Steven Montez continues to play his way into a possible first-round pick. He has great size and can make all the throws. Not to mention, he’s doing it all with Laviska Shenault not even being the leading receiver.

But you can’t give up 30 points or more every week and still expect to win games. This team will always be a joy, but that’s because they keep every team in the game.
