1. Take out the 12th Man

Alabama wants to take the Texas A&M crowd out of the game as early as possible. Kyle Field is one of the best home fields in college football, and you don’t want that crowd rowdy and raucous in the fourth quarter making it hard to hear calls and audibles. This is also easier said than done.

The Kyle Field faithful stay in games for a long time, and it’s always full and always rockin’. They take their reputation for being the best home field advantage in college football seriously. So how do you eliminate the 12th Man?

Big plays. If there’s one thing the Crimson Tide does well, it’s hit on big plays. Alabama needs to come out and establish themselves early in the game. They need to create some turnovers on defense, and hit one of their fast explosive receivers. The most important turnovers the Crimson Tide can create are getting the Aggies off the field on third downs. Alabama’s defense wants to keep giving the ball to their offense.

A three possession lead in the second half will start to take the 12th Man out of the game. It’s going to take that long. The Aggie faithful never think their team is out of it, and they are ready to shock the world and pull the upset. If Alabama doesn’t want this to happen, they need to make plays early and often. Alabama simply needs to be the better team.
