2. Utilize the passing game

One area where teams have had continual success against South Carolina’s defense is through the air.

Tua Tagovailoa was able to light up the Gamecocks, and Kelly Bryant and Sam Howell (in his first career start) were able to have efficient games as well. South Carolina ranks No. 71 in defensive passing efficiency and has given up ten touchdowns through the air this season.

Enter, Jake Fromm.

Fromm ranks fifth in the league in total QBR, which isn’t a perfect statistic, but he also is third in completion percentage, and has eight touchdowns to zero interceptions this season. He is one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the country, and should have his way with this South Carolina secondary.

Fromm should be able to have a game that puts him in the Heisman conversation this season.
