2. Defense can bend, but not break

The Longhorns aren’t dynamic on offense outside of Brennan Eagles, but they can put the ball in the end-zone. The Sooners come in playing better on defense, but not against any offenses that are as good as Texas. This is the best offensive line they’ve seen this year and undoubtedly the best quarterback they’ve faced.

The obvious thing the Sooners need to do is keep Texas out of the end-zone, and one way to do that is by creating turnovers. Texas has done a great job of taking care of the ball this season, so any turnovers the Sooners get they are going to have to make plays.

The Texas offensive line is good, but not dominant so it will be interesting to see how Oklahoma defensive coordinator Alex Grinch approaches this game schematically.

The Sooners are going to give up yards in this one, but if they can force the Longhorns to kick field goals instead of scoring touchdowns in key spots, they will have a chance to win.
