College GameDay is headed down to Baton Rouge for a mammoth Week 7 showdown between Florida and LSU. Who’s the guest picker?
For the second week in a row, Florida is one of the two teams featured in ESPN’s College GameDay, but this time the Gators will be the visiting team, heading to Baton Rouge for a massive Week 7 battle between SEC powerhouses.
The Gators are undefeated after beating Auburn in impressive fashion in Week 6 but they’ll have an even stiffer test against a surprisingly dominant offense of LSU led by Joe Burrow.
LSU has been one of the highest-scoring teams in the country this season which is quite surprising given the fact that the Tigers are usually known for defense. That, however, has been the Gators’ calling card this season as they have been average, at best, on the offensive side of the ball led by Kyle Trask.
While everyone will be tuned in to the big game in the evening to see which SEC team will have the upper hand in the playoff race, some fans are more interested in the morning festivities, capped off by a celebrity guest picker session as well as Lee Corso’s headgear pick.
So with GameDay being in Baton Rouge, who will represent LSU as the celebrity picker? This week, it’ll be John Goodman who was in the 1988 film “Everybody’s All-American” where he and Dennis Quaid portrayed LSU football players. While that may not seem like enough to make him guest picker on Saturday, he’s also a New Orleans resident.
Check in on Saturday morning to see Goodman pick the Tigers to win before Corso inevitably dons a Tiger mascot head.
