QB. 1. player. Scouting Report. Alabama. Tua Tagovailoa. 56. Pick Analysis

Cincinnati wins the NFL Draft sweepstakes, and they draft their new face of the franchise at quarterback.

If you need a quarterback, Tua will likely be your top prospect. He might not have the size of a traditional NFL quarterback, but he completely fits what the league is going towards. He’s an amazing leader, he’s able to scramble for first downs, and he has elite touch. The arm strength isn’t the highest in this class, but he is so accurate.

Some might use the fact that Tua is left-handed as a reason not to draft him, but who cares? He can make any short or intermediate throw that you ask of him, and he has shown the ability to throw the deep ball as well.

Tagovailoa has shown the work ethic and leadership capabilities since he stepped onto campus at Alabama. After his first score in the national championship game against Georgia, we knew he had the it-factor. I can’t find a real reason not to draft him if you have a need at quarterback. If you have to risk your job by drafting a quarterback, he’s your best bet.

The only real concern about Tua is his health, but he has been completely healthy this season. If he finishes the season without any injuries, he will almost certainly be the first quarterback off the board in 2020.
