Pick Analysis. Ohio State. 2. 58. Scouting Report. EDGE. Chase Young. player

Washington doesn’t specifically need an edge rusher, but Chase Young is simply too talented to leave on the board.

Defensive linemen at Ohio State have a reputation for being great NFL Draft picks. Well, the best is yet to come. If you haven’t yet, go watch some film on Young. I guarantee you that it will make your day better.

It’s too early to know with any certainty, but all signs are pointing to Young being the first defensive player drafted in 2020. With his dynamic ability to use speed and strength, there’s not much offensive linemen can do to stop him. His use of hands, variety of moves, and speed off the snap are all superb.

If you look at pure talent, Young just might be the best overall player in this draft class. He’s certainly in the top three with Tua and Jerry Jeudy. The first overall pick will depend on team needs, but all three of those players have the talent to deserve the selection.

Despite the Bosa brothers coming from the same school, I genuinely believe that Young is the best defensive linemen to come from Ohio State in the Urban Meyer/Ryan Day era. He’s good enough to deserve Heisman consideration this season. If you need a guy to go bring down the quarterback, here is your man.
