WR. Jerry Jeudy. 59. Pick Analysis. Alabama. 3. player. Scouting Report

Miami desperately needs help at quarterback and offensive line, but I don’t like the value at this pick compared to Jerry Jeudy. With two more picks in the first round, Miami plays the waiting game for a quarterback and simply selects the best player available.

Let’s take a look at Tua’s best friend in the Alabama offense. Alabama has had some of the best wide receivers in college football during their dynasty, and Jeudy is next in line. However, he’s not quite like any other receiver Alabama’s had.

Jeudy can really do it all. He has the speed, agility, and hands to make any corner look foolish. He can given the ball on a screen and turn it into a first down, or he can catch the ball 40 yards down the field.

His best asset is his route running. People wonder just how good he is while catching balls in traffic, but that’s just because no one can keep up with him to make him make a contested catch. Once the ball is in his hands, you have to watch out for your ankles. He can stop on a dime, juke you out of your socks, and do just about anything that a team could want.

Drafting a wide receiver in the top 10 is a risky play, but Jeudy is worth the selection. The only thing that hurts his draft stock is the depth at receiver in this class. General managers know that they can get a really good receiver in the second round. That being said, no one is going to compare to Jeudy, who just might be the most talented player in his class.
