Pac-12 Football Power Rankings, Week 8: Bow down to Jayden Daniels
By Kyle Grondin
Another week of Pac-12 football is in the books and we are closer to finding out if any team is worthy of a playoff berth. Who sits at the top in Week 8?
Another week of Pac-12 football, another week of clarity — mostly.
For the most part, our contenders at the beginning of the year are still the same, and the Pac-12 is still inexplicably getting disrespect. This is one of the deepest conferences in the country, with four very good teams, but they’re still rated as the bottom of the Power Five.
While I’m sure the coaches out west don’t care about the spotlight as much, I can assure you that most teams wouldn’t be excited to see teams such as Oregon, Washington or Utah in a bowl game. These teams are for real, and can compete with any team in the country.
It’s clear that scheduling and game time continues to be an issue for the conference and presenting to the east coast audience. Oregon needing to play on Friday night to get exposure is just embarrassing, and the conference really needs to have this figured out next season, to get more prime time and afternoon spots to appeal to more voters.
Thank you for coming to my rant, on to your regularly scheduled power rankings.
