8. Matt Millen, Defensive Tackle

Matt Millen played for Penn State from 1976-79. He was one of the many strong inside forces that made the Penn State defense so outstanding in the late 1970s. Millen was an All-American for Penn State in 1978, but became such a recognizable sports figure after his Penn State days.

The former tackle was a four-time Super Bowl champion — he won one with the Redskins, one with the 49ers and two with the Raiders. Millen was an NFL Pro-Bowler in 1988.

Tackles weren’t recorded during his time in the NFL, but Millen recorded 11 career interceptions and eight fumble recoveries. His 11 interceptions rank as one of the highest totals for any player who played the majority of his snaps on the defensive line in NFL history.

Millen became famous as a GM. Arguably the worst GM in NFL history, the chant “Fire Millen” swept the country at various sporting events. Millen admitted to being responsible for the Lions 0-16 season in 2008. Since then, he has had a nice broadcasting career and he has worked for CBS, FOX, NBC, NFL Network and BTN.
