3. Broncos can’t beat themselves

Boise State is one of the soundest football teams in the nation. In all three aspects of their game, the Broncos seem to play at a high level all around. Other than the first game of the year, the Broncos have been able to avoid major penalties and seem to be as disciplined as they come. In a rivalry environment with BYU, there are going to be multiple factors that can lead you to start beating yourself.

Overall, the Broncos have far and away from the better squad coming into the game on Saturday. Talent is not an issue with Boise State, but the home crowd for BYU could cause issues for the offensive line.

With a possible new quarterback in the game for the Broncos on Saturday in Chase Cord, we will see how the offense reacts. He has had a bunch of playing time through the first six games and threw a couple of touchdown passes last week against Hawaii.

Boise State has faith in the junior quarterback, he will just have to manage the offense as he knows how. Avoiding lengthy third downs and hanging on to the ball on the road will be key.
