3. Justin Fields spread the love to target six different receivers

Before coming out of the game in the fourth quarter, Justin Fields had a solid day passing the ball. While he finished with only 194 passing yards against the Northwestern defense, Fields did plenty of damage even without a larger haul of yardage through the air.

He did not do much damage with his legs, running for just eight yards on a half-dozen carries. But it was hardly important to the final result. Racking up four touchdown passes, Fields completed 18 of his 23 passes and refrained from throwing an interception for the sixth time in seven outings. What was most impressive, though, was that Fields found six different receivers on those 18 completions.

Chris Olave was his favorite target, as he hauled in a pair of touchdown passes. Fields also hit running back J.K Dobbins out of the backfield for his third touchdown pass. Austin Mack had the longest touchdown catch of the day, pulling in a 23-yard strike from Fields in the third quarter.

There are few defenses in the country that can cover the multitude of skill players that Ohio State can throw on the gridiron at any given time. As long as Fields is spreading the ball around the field and getting the ball to all of his various offensive weapons, the Buckeyes will be a tough out in every regular season game moving forward.
