2. Penn State’s offense makes big plays

Speed. Penn State has it at a premium. Their offense has a tendency to disappear at times during games, but they can hit big plays at any time. Michigan’s defense has improved this season, but might not be able to catch Penn State’s skill players in space.

Neither Wisconsin nor Iowa have the speed the Wolverines are going to face against the Nittany Lions. Penn State wants to create one on one match ups for their skill players, get them out in space and simply let them run past the Michigan defenders.

They have the secret sauce — put on the Ohio State tape from last season. Ohio State ran crossing routes all over Michigan’s man coverage and let their superior speed run past Michigan. No doubt Penn State is going to do the same thing.
