2. Where was the Texas defense?

Carter Stanley threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns, Pooka Williams Jr. ran for 190 yards and two scores and the Jayhawks racked up 569 yards of total offense. You read that correctly, Kansas put up almost 600 yards of total offense and did not turn the ball over.

Just to put the number into an even better perspective. Oklahoma last week had 511 yards and turned the ball over twice against this very same Longhorn defense.

Did they forget what to do on the field? Were they just “going through the motions” out there? Either way, you can bet that Tom Herman and the defensive coaches will not be sleeping well for a few nights this week.

At the same time, though, give Stanley some credit. He completed 27-of-47 and also ran nine times for 65 more yards, giving him 375 yards from scrimmage. And Williams looks poised to close out the season strong after his breakthrough last year.
