2. Curtis Weaver is that dude

The Boise State defense has been solid in the first seven games so far. Giving up only 206 yards through the air a game, the Broncos have applied a ton of pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Sacking the quarterback at an alarming rate, the defensive line for Boise State has been one of the best units. A big part of the reason why the defensive line has been so good, is redshirt junior Curtis Weaver.

Curtis Weaver is only in his junior year and is almost guaranteed to enter the draft in the spring. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive end has wreaked havoc for opponents and has held down the defensive line in all seven games of the season. Weaver has racked up 9.5 sacks so far, with 31 total tackles and a forced fumble to add on his resume.

Weaver broke the Mountain West record for all-time sacks in a career with 29.5 in just 32 games played and is adding to his total every single game. Look for more of the same from the Boise State legend as the season continues and the Broncos try and go for their first NY6 bowl since 2014.
