Oklahoma at Kansas State (Saturday at 12 p.m. ET, ABC)

Spread: Oklahoma -24

Could this be a trap-game for the Sooners? The last time Oklahoma traveled to the Little Apple, they walked away with just a one touchdown victory over the Wildcats.

If there’s one thing you can count on with a Chris Klieman coached team, it is that they are going to play hard from the opening snap. They won’t back down from a fight, and they’ll look to play an attacking defensive style that could fluster Heisman-hopeful Jalen Hurts, though the senior has been mostly unflappable his entire career.

I think Kansas State’s best course of action will be to try and ground the football, relying on James Gilbert and the running game to take the air out of the football and keep Oklahoma’s offense on the sideline. The only problem is that this isn’t your typical Oklahoma defense as new defensive coordinator Alex Grinch has done a masterful job improving the Sooners on that side of the ball.

They won’t be bullied up front like usual anymore, which should give Hurts and his dynamic group of weapons ample opportunities to put points on the board.

While I don’t think Kansas State can pull the outright upset of the Sooners, I do think this game will end up being a little bit closer than the spread. Look for the Wildcats to put up a decent fight, but the Sooners still win by a couple of scores.

Pick: Oklahoma 35, Kansas State 21
