player. lost 23-20 at No. 2 LSU. 13. 11/2 vs. Ole Miss. Auburn Tigers. 842. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Auburn went to Baton Rouge in Week 9 and collapsed against No. 2 LSU in a top-10 matchup of Tigers. The Tigers from the Plains had issues running the ball and passing the ball, and the defense had few answers for the tandem of quarterback Joe Burrow and running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire as LSU finished with 508 yards of offense in a 23-20 takedown of their visitors.

Bo Nix had major issues against the LSU secondary, completing only 15 of his 35 attempts for 157 yards with one touchdown and one interception. D.J. Williams was the lone bright spot in the backfield, as he busted off a pair of long runs and finished with 130 rushing yards on 13 carries. The rest of the team finished with zero net rushing yards as the Gus Malzahn offense proved more anemic than innovative.

Auburn will fall out of the top 10 of the AP Top 25 this week as they prepare for a home date against Ole Miss on the first weekend of November. The Tigers don’t have to leave Jordan-Hare Stadium for the rest of the regular season, as Georgia, FCS Samford, and Alabama all come to the Plains in November play.
