2. Broncos unleash Hank Bachmeier

Boise State has been lucky to have one of the best freshman quarterbacks in the country with Hank Bachmeier. He replaced a four-year starter and a quarterback that took the Broncos to three Mountain West championships. With big shoes to fill, the young quarterback has done everything he needs to do to put the Broncos in winning positions.

Boise State was upset against BYU in Provo just two weeks ago. This was coming off the heels of Bachmeier getting injured against Hawaii and not able to return in time for the rivalry matchup. Now that he seems to be able to play in this first game in November, we should see him get unleashed a bit by the Boise State offensive staff.

It was only a matter of time until Bachmeier went down with an injury after all of the hits that he has taken in his short career. Now, with a loss, after he went out, the importance of Bachmeier leading the Bronco offense is more evident than ever. We should see him fresh and ready to go after being out and taking a bye week to get healthy. Look for him to put up big numbers in November and make a run at first-team all-Mountain West in just his first year.
