7-1, 4-0. Cincinatti Bearcats. player. Scouting Report. Last Week: 2. 2. 830. Pick Analysis

Sometimes there are games that help salvage a season. If the Bearcats find themselves in the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s, they will remember the 32-yard field goal by Sam Crosa as time expired to give them a 46-43 win against the East Carolina Pirates in Greenville. Cincinnati did not play well in this game. They were out-gained by almost 200 yards. The Pirates had almost twice as many first downs, and the Bearcats turned it over twice including a pick-six.

Somehow, the Bearcats kept the faith and found a way to score 18 fourth-quarter points for the win. The Bearcats hope this is a game that propels them to the AAC Championship Game and not a sign of them breaking down physically.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 8-1, 4-1. Last Week: 4. Memphis Tigers. 1. 858. player

The Tigers claim the No. 1 spot because they’re playing as well as any team in the Group of Five. After the controversial loss to the Temple Owls, the Tigers made the Green Wave look like pretenders, survived a pesky Tulsa squad and outran SMU. The Tigers are the real deal folks, and they are gearing up for a showdown against the Bearcats at the end of the season. We could see the Tigers and Bearcats play each other twice in a row.

If either the Tigers or the Bearcats win twice, they’ll have a strong case to get to the Cotton Bowl.
