1. Penn State upsets Ohio State and wins Big Ten East

A one loss Penn State team can still win the Big Ten East. They will just need to beat the mighty Buckeyes in Columbus. A tall order for sure but it can be done.

After Penn State loses to Minnesota, they return home to face Indiana. The Hoosiers will be 7-2 entering Happy Valley, but they will face an angry pride of Lions. Penn State will pummel Indiana to get back into the win column before their showdown with Ohio State.

Penn State scored an upset of Ohio State in 2016 which kick started their run to a Big Ten championship and Rose Bowl appearance. The last two seasons have seen Penn State on the wrong end of one point losses to the Buckeyes. The Nittany Lions squandered away fourth quarter leads in both of those games. After last year’s game, James Franklin’s post game speech was emotional as he discussed getting to an elite level.

It will not be easy, but Penn State will find a way to get it done against Ohio State. Sean Clifford will have one of his best games, throwing for three touchdowns. Running back Ricky Slade finally has a breakout game Penn State fans have been waiting for. The Lion defense will be the best Ohio State has seen so far and they will do just enough to slow down Justin Fields and the Buckeyes.

Next. College Playoff Rankings 2019: Projected Top 25. dark

Penn State wins in Columbus for the first time since 2011 and claims the Big Ten East. They will get a rematch against Minnesota in Indianapolis with the Big Ten championship and possible College Football Playoff spot on the line.
