No. 2 LSU at No. 3 Alabama (3:30 p.m. ET – CBS)

This is the showdown everyone has been waiting for all week, if not since the preseason. LSU heads to Tuscaloosa as the higher-ranked team in this showdown, but they are still a seven-point underdog hoping to claim their first win over Alabama since 2011. With Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa a game-time decision, we could still see a duel of Heisman-hopeful quarterbacks. This year’s version of Tide-Tigers should be far more offense-driven than other recent vintages in the divisional rivalry.

PREDICTION: Joe Burrow throws a late touchdown pass that gives LSU the winning points and the inside track in the SEC West at the end of a shootout at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

No. 16 Kansas State at Texas (3:30 p.m. ET – ESPN)

Kansas State already has one major statement in Big 12 play after blemishing Oklahoma’s perfect record, and they will look to deliver the knockout blow to the Longhorns in Austin on Saturday. Texas is a five-point favorite at home, but the Longhorns defense has been downright abysmal this season. Look for Skylar Thompson to have a huge game with both his arm and his legs against the hosts on Saturday afternoon.

PREDICTION: Kansas State covers the spread and wins outright in an upset that positions the Wildcats as the biggest spoiler threat in the Big 12 race.

No. 18 Iowa at No. 13 Wisconsin (4 p.m. ET – FOX)

Two top-shelf defenses meet at Camp Randall Stadium for an elimination game in the Big Ten West. Iowa and Wisconsin each have two conference losses, but with both the Hawkeyes and the Badgers still having to play Minnesota the winner will still have an outside shot of catching the Golden Gophers for the division crown. Wisconsin is a 9.5-point favorite at home, where they are 5-0 this season and beating teams by an average of more than five touchdowns.

PREDICTION: Jonathan Taylor will get going against a tough Iowa defense, gaining more than 100 yards as Wisconsin covers the spread in victory.
