1. Oregon State goes bowling

These are three bold predictions, right? Well it doesn’t get much bolder than this right here. The Beavers will go bowling this postseason.

Jonathan Smith is proving one major thing by his presence in Corvallis: He can flat-out coach offense. The Beavers were averaging 20 points of game in 2017 and in just two seasons at Oregon State, he has them two touchdowns per game better. The defense is still bad, but they are 12 points better than they were in 2017. These Beavers are believing, and they are ready to fight for a bowl.

The question is, who do they get? This time of year, some teams get got, that’s just what it is. Right now, they are better than Washington State. So that means, the Beavers have to upset either Washington, Arizona State or Oregon. They aren’t beating Oregon, so that leaves Washington or Arizona State. The Huskies haven’t been as dominant defensively, and their offense can disappear for stretches at a time. The Sun Devils’ offensive line is abysmal. Although their defense is as advertised, the Beavers could have some success against the Devils.

What makes both of these games dangerous for the Huskies and Devils is they are at Corvallis, and both teams have had their issues on the road.
