Penn State Football: 3 takeaways from critical win over Indiana in Week 12
By Dante Pryor
1. Sean Clifford bounced back
When you look at the box score for Sean Clifford, you’ll see 11-of-23 for 179 yards, one touchdown and 10 rushes for 55 yards and three scores. Not the most efficient stat line, but Clifford made plays when he needed to.
You could tell that Clifford took his performance against Minnesota personally. He put the loss on his shoulders and wanted to have a better performance. Though the passing numbers weren’t efficient, Clifford did a good job of making plays when his team needed plays to be made.
The Penn State Nittany Lions want a chance against Ohio State, Clifford has to play well. He definitely needs to play better than he did today, but he needs the moxie he played with today. Clifford needs to make good decisions with the football, and make plays when his team needs them to make plays.
