Scouting Report. 11/23 vs. Temple. Cincinnati Bearcats. 830. Pick Analysis. won 20-17 at South Florida. 19. player

Cincinnati is probably going to fall behind Memphis in the College Football Playoff selection committee’s eyes after they needed a last-second field goal to win 20-17 at South Florida in Week 12. The Bearcats were 13-point favorites on the road in Tampa, but they found themselves playing from behind for much of the contest. That will give the committee some hesitation as they evaluate the Bearcats against the Tigers as AAC division leaders.

Desmond Ridder was just 9-of-18 for 78 passing yards. Michael Warren II ran for 134 yards and a touchdown, and Gerrid Doaks also punched in a score on the ground as the Cincinnati backfield finished with 200 rushing yards as a group. Despite being outgained by 160 yards by the Bulls, Cincinnati escaped with the win in large part thanks to four missed field goals by US kicker Spencer Shrader.

Cincinnati hosts Temple in Week 13 with a two-game lead in conference play. A win over the Owls would ensure they have a spot in the AAC championship game no matter what happens in the regular-season finale at the Liberty Bowl against Memphis.
