1. Injuries could bury the Broncos

It is very wildly known in the Mountain West that Boise State gets everyone’s best shot. This could not be truer when the Broncos play on the road and see huge attendance numbers for opposing fans. Boise State now has two games on the road in tough environments to end their season and to make matters worse, they have been snake bitten by injuries just in time.

Boise State is now missing six starters on offense and defense. This rash of injuries has hurt almost every single part of both sides of the ball. None is more apparent than the injuries on the offensive side of the ball. With a couple of injuries on the offensive line, the Bronco quarterbacks have been running for their lives in the past three games, if not all season.

With arguably their best player out with an injury in Curtis Weaver, Boise State is looking to fill yet another big-time producer. Weaver has 13-plus sacks and has been crazy nasty against the run as well.

The Broncos could be looking at playing their third-string quarterback, backup safety, backup defensive end, and a replacement offensive lineman headed into Logan. Not something that you want to see if you’re a Bronco fan. Let’s hope the injuries don’t stop Boise State from ending their season on a good note.
