Big Ten Football Power Rankings, Week 13: Minnesota finally falters
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights lost, as expected but did something in their game against Ohio State that only one team had been able to do all season. Rutgers scored 21 points, marking just the second time this season the Buckeyes allowed a team to score over 20 points, tying them with FAU for the most points scored against Ohio State in 2019. They lost the war, but they won a battle — it’s Rutgers, they need all the little victories they can get.

The Northwestern Wildcats finally picked up their second win of the season this past Saturday with a cruising victory over UMass. However, the Wildcats are still winless in conference play and are still facing the possibility of finishing with a 10-loss season. An upset win over Minnesota or Illinois is the only chance they have to prevent a mirrored record from a season ago.

It’s been said time and time gain throughout the season that the Nebraska Cornhuskers were seriously overrated and over-ranked entering the 2019 season. And now the Cornhuskers face the possibility of finishing with the same record as they did in Scott Frost’s first year. But even if they improve their win total from a season ago, has Nebraska really made a step in the right direction?
