SMU has had a great season thus far. The Mustangs were undefeated all the way up until they went to Memphis and got taken down as ESPN College GameDay was in town. SMU has still put together a great campaign with senior quarterback Shane Buechele leading the charge for the offense.

The offense has done everything they need to do in 2019 for the Mustangs with a staggering 45 points per game. On the other side of the ball, they have struggled mightily giving up 425 yards a game and just over 32 points on average. Their run defense will be key against an offense that runs the triple option to perfection.

Navy will be hosting the Mustangs on Saturday after coming off of a brutal loss to Notre Dame. The Midshipmen fell 52-20 in a game that was never that close.

Make no mistake, Navy is still a great football team sitting at 7-2 and could cause a ton of problems on offense and defense. They will control the pace of the game from the get-go and take the game out of Buechele’s hands if they can. Look for Navy to give the Mustangs a run for their money on Saturday.
