3. Start fast

Boise State has had an up and down year on the offensive side of the ball for the most part. With injury after injury plaguing the quarterback room for the Broncos, they had to trot out their third-string senior transfer against New Mexico. That quarterback was Jaylon Henderson who played brilliantly in his first division one start of his career.

Now, with question marks on Hank Bachmeier who we have not seen since Nov. 2 against San Jose State, we could once again see the senior. The experience portion should not hurt the Broncos since they have so many weapons on the outside, but they have to start fast in Logan. The last two away games against BYU and San Jose State, the Broncos found themselves down 10-plus points in each game and had to battle back.

Battling back did not work for Boise State against BYU and we could see the same issue if they get down early against Utah State. The Utah State defense has been horrific giving up 431 yards a game and could be vulnerable even at home. Look for Henderson and the Broncos to try and get some quick hitters going downfield to get their playmakers in space.
