1. Tighten up the secondary

The secondary for Boise State has been eaten alive all year. San Jose State quarterback Jordan Love threw for 438 yards just two weeks ago in a shocking effort. This was not an isolated game, unfortunately. The Broncos have been struggling against the passing game and you have seen chunk plays everywhere against the secondary.

Now the Broncos find themselves without the leadership of junior safety Deandre Pierce and could face another great quarterback. Josh Love is expected to play for Utah State and although he has had his ups and downs, the junior quarterback is not afraid to sling it. He has 2,600 yards and 13 touchdowns to his name but has trouble with turnovers.

Love’s 14 interceptions on the year are a sign that the Broncos could finally grab some turnovers that they have been longing for. If the Broncos are going to win the game on Saturday the secondary has to be better than it has in previous weeks. If Boise State struggles at stopping the pass they will be in for a long night.
