11/29 at Memphis. Cincinnati Bearcats. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 20. player. 830. won 15-13 vs. Temple

Cincinnati held on against Temple in a 15-13 home victory on Saturday evening that shored up the AAC East title for the Bearcats. With the win, they have no chance of slipping out of the top spot in the division no matter what happens in their regular-season finale on Black Friday against Memphis. They could backslide another spot in the College Football Playoff Top 25 this week after dropping behind the Tigers last week.

Desmond Ridder had an off night throwing the football, as the quarterback finished 9-of-25 for 62 yards and an interception. Michael Warren II was able to move the ball on the ground against the Owls, churning out 106 rushing yards and a touchdown to pace the Bearcats to victory. The defense also came up big for Cincinnati as they held Temple to 310 total yards and blocked an Owls’ PAT attempt to prevent the chance to go for two to force overtime.

The stakes will be much higher for Memphis than they are for Cincinnati when they line up next weekend at the Liberty Bowl. That is because, if the Bearcats lose, they will head right back to Memphis for the AAC championship game. If the Bearcats win, though, they will instead host Navy for the conference title. So even though the Tigers will be playing to stay alive, Cincinnati also has incentive to play for victory on Black Friday.
