2. Utah Utes (No. 7 up to No. 6)

The Pac-12 lost some hope for one of its playoff contenders as Oregon lost to Arizona State on the road Saturday and that meant that Utah’s road to the four-team field would be that much more difficult. Not only would the Utes need to win out and win the Pac-12 title, but they would probably need some help.

Utah still impressed with a 35-7 win at Arizona and looked like one of the four best teams in the country in Week 13 and that followed up a 49-3 win over UCLA.

The Utes look like a force to be reckoned with as they have an elite defense and a quarterback in Tyler Huntley who probably should be in the Heisman conversation. Also, Zack Moss might be the most underrated in the nation.

Basically, Utah is one of the most complete teams in college football yet are still ranked on the outside of the top four, looking in. The fact that the Utes are still behind Alabama and Georgia is almost comical at this point and proves the committee has SEC bias.
