1. Texas Tech at Texas

Ever since Texas A&M and Texas stopped playing each other, the Big 12 has been trying to make this the “main” rivalry in the state of Texas. While it is nowhere near the rivalry that the Aggies and Longhorns were, we have still had pretty good games between the two schools with the Red Raiders pulling off several upsets.

The Red Raiders are sitting at 4-7 with no chance of a bowl game while Texas is sitting at 6-5 and on a two game losing streak. Normally this game wouldn’t be considered an “under the radar” one, but with both teams struggling, it has gone unnoticed. However, with the decline of Texas’ this year, this game will be worth watching.

Texas is 2-4 in its last six games and cannot afford a loss to Texas Tech to end the year. Texas has been hit hard with injuries and is still a talented team, but for whatever reason has struggled the second half of the season. If the Red Raiders beat Texas in Austin this weekend, Longhorn fans will be throwing a fit.

The Red Raiders would like nothing more than to come upset Texas and drop the Longhorns to 6-6 on the season. This is Texas Tech’s Super Bowl here.

While Tech’s record isn’t what they hoped it would be, they have been competitive and have had a chance to win in most every game. Texas is favored by 9.5 points, but I imagine Tech will keep it closer than that with a chance to win the game.
