Appalachian State has been great all year at 10-1 and only stumbling one time in 2019. App State is on the outside looking in currently into a chance to represent the Group of Five in a New Year’s Six Bowl. That is not to say that the Mountaineers do not have a chance to get in. There is plenty more football to be played and everyone knows the chaos of College Football.

App State rolls into Alabama to take on the Troy Trojans on Friday night. By the looks of the Trojans record, you would not think twice about making the Mountaineers the favorite, but this game could be more interesting than you think.

Troy has an experienced quarterback in Kaleb Barker that is playing in some of the last football of his college career. A win for Troy means they would become bowl eligible and could be a huge program win. Barker has thrown for over 3,000 total yards and 30 touchdowns in 2019 and is more than capable to win at home. Look for this game to be a bit different for App State with all of the experience that Troy has.
