College Football 2019: 3 Group of Five teams on upset alert in Week 14

Cincinnati is just a couple of wins away from being the Group of Five representatives in the NY6 bowl this year. Their only loss this year was to a dominate Ohio State team that was all the way back in Week 1. Now, the Bearcats find themselves at No. 19 in the polls and right behind their opponent who they play this week.

All any fanbase wants is the ability to control their own destiny late in the season. The Bearcats have that exact chance on Friday afternoon when they take on the Memphis Tigers. The Tigers pose as the biggest threat to the Bearcats that they have left besides the AAC championship in which the Bearcats have already punched their ticket.

A home game at Memphis has made the Bearcats double-digit underdogs on Friday. Technically we can’t even put this as an upset, but I know the Bearcat fans would disagree. The irony of this game is that they might be lacing them up against each other in the AAC championship with a Memphis win in just eight days after.

Cincinnati will have to pull out something special after struggling the past couple of weeks to inferior teams in order to beat Memphis.
