Pick Analysis. (11-1). vs. Hawaii. 3. Scouting Report. Boise State Broncos. player. 895

Boise State is making its fourth Mountain West championship game appearance, going 2-1 in previous games. The Broncos will face Hawaii in the Rainbow Warriors first ever appearance in a title game. Boise State is favored by 14 points.

The Broncos went undefeated in the Mountain West, the first time in school history since they joined the conference. They are only a three point loss at BYU away from being undefeated. Boise State is in the mix for a New Year’s Six bowl if they can claim the highest rank among the Group of Five teams in the final CFP rankings.

Hawaii finished the season 9-4 overall and 5-3 in the conference, but it was enough to win the West division with the tie breaking head to head win over San Diego State. The Rainbow Warriors already lost to Boise State back in mid October on the same field. They also lost to 10-2 Air Force and fell to 4-8 Fresno State, a strange loss for sure. Hawaii is seeking its first Mountain West title and first conference title since winning the WAC championship in 2010.

As mentioned Boise State is trying to earn a New Year’s Six bowl bid. It would be their first since winning the 2014 Fiesta Bowl over Arizona. Hawaii has different plans and looks to correct their mistakes from their first meeting. They won’t give up nearly 60 points and the run and shoot offense will put up just enough to pull a pretty big upset of the Broncos.
