2. Chris Robison and Harrison Bryant

FAU’s quarterback Chris Robison and tight end Harrison Bryant, were two big reasons why the Owls were able to win Conference USA this year.

Bryant was one of the best — if not the best — tight ends in all of college football this year. He led the team in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns. On the year, he had 65 receptions, 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns. He finally started getting the credit he deserved from the national media at the end of the year as he won the Mackey Award, which is the award for the best tight end in college football.

Robison had one of the biggest turnarounds from last season to this season for potentially any quarterback in C-USA. Last year, Robison was inconsistent through out the whole year. He would make throws that show why he was so highly recruited and then make plays that leave you scratching your head. He ended last year with 12 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions.

This year was much different. Not only was he first-team All-Conference USA, but he threw 26 touchdowns to only six interceptions. His touchdown-to-interception ratio went from 1:1 to better than 4:1.

Robison and Bryant are two huge reasons why FAU’s offense was so good this year and why they ended up winning C-USA. With Bryant playing in his last game in college, I look for Robison and him to connect through out the game and put up points.
