The Utah State Aggies and the Kent State Golden Flashes tangle in Texas in the 2019 Frisco Bowl. Here are three players to watch in this one.

Break out the Kent State Golden Flashes. The pride of Kent, Ohio, are in a bowl game for only the third time in school history.

Kent State does not have much of a football history, but third-year head coach Sean Lewis is trying to change that. The Golden Flashes route to this game was by no means pretty. They are one of the few teams this postseason that surrendered more points (31.1) than averaged offensively (27.4).

After a respectable 3-3 start, Kent State lost three games in a row. They followed that three-game losing streak with a three-game winning streak, including wins over bowl eligible Buffalo and Eastern Michigan.

The Utah State Aggies come into this game after what can only be described as a disappointing season. Head coach Gary Andersen and the Aggies expected a few more wins this season. Utah State had Jordan Love returning looking to have a big year, and he had plenty of weapons around him.

Despite what had the potential to be a potent offensive season for the Aggies, it was a down year offensively for Utah State. Like their opponents, the Aggies gave up more points per game (29.0)  than they averaged (28.2).

Sit back and enjoy this game from Frisco, Texas, and keep an eye on these three players as you watch.
