Michigan Football: Khaleke Hudson has worst take of the year on Ohio State
Khaleke Hudson made quite the statement recently when he stated that the talent of Michigan football is greater than what Ohio State has.
Do you ever listen to a quote and immediately cringe? Sometimes it’s a poor sport losing and not giving another team credit or a coach blaming refs, but Khaleke Hudson’s recent statement had nothing to do with either of those yet is somehow way worse.
Hudson responded to Ty Rogers’ (Michigan’s videographer) tweet this week with one that is cloaked in deep denial, according to WolverinesWire.
Rogers visited Ohio State recently and stated that the Buckeyes’ facilities are beyond anything Michigan has and that may have something to do with the gap between the two rivals. The Buckeyes have dominated on the field and in recruiting and that might have something to do with offering more for these players in terms of facilities.
Hudson did not agree with that statement despite not knowing what Ohio State has to offer.
"“I’m not sure what they got at their facility, but I know we got one of the best facilities in the world,” Hudson said. “And we’ve got one of the best coaches in the world. We got the best teammates in the world.“I don’t know where they’re at, but I know we’re higher up.”"
OK, it’s fine to have a little school pride and state that your program has more to offer than your rival’s, but how can you say that “I know we’re higher up” when you have never seen what Ohio State has and everyone, including someone who works for Michigan, has raved about the facilities in Columbus? Seems illogical.
And then he took it one step further, speaking about the perceived talent gap between the two programs.
"“I feel like our talent is better,” he said."
This just doesn’t have the feel of a statement that is going to end well for Michigan and Hudson and it may look even more ridiculous after the Wolverines face Alabama in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1.
Even the most diehard Michigan fans would disagree with Hudson and they’re all collectively cringing at the fact that he made his denial-based thoughts public.
