2. Which Texas team will show up?

This was a disappointing year for many Texas fans. They went into the season with hopes of winning the Big 12, especially coming off a 10-win season the previous year. However, like most things in life, things did not go according to plan. Texas ended up with a 7-5 record while going 5-4 in conference play.

Texas is always a team worth tuning in for as they are one of the biggest brands in all of college football regardless of their record. They also have one of the more polarizing head coaches in Tom Herman, who has shown signs of being a really good head coach, but also has moments that make you scratch your head, and not to mention some of his antics can just rub people the wrong way.

With all that said, Texas was a team that looked great a times and then looked straight up mediocre as well. In their Week 2 matchup against LSU, they looked like a team that could be on the cusp of potentially making it to the playoff. They ended up losing 45-38, but offensively was just right behind LSU the whole night.

However, that performance against LSU didn’t translate to each game. They almost lost to Kansas in a game hey had to kick a field goal as time expired to win 50-48, they had a bad loss against TCU in a 37-27 loss, and another dud against Baylor in a 24-10 loss.

They did finish the year with a 49-24 win against a mediocre Texas Tech team and will hope to keep that offensive momentum going against a solid Utah defense.
