2. He’s looking to make himself the best rusher in the nation
Travis Etienne is already the Clemson Tigers’ all-time leader in total rushing yards accounted for with 4,038 yards and total rushing touchdowns accounted for with 56. He also has the program’s top two single-season rushing yards leader with his 2018 season (1,658 yards) and 2019 season (1,614 yards). Etienne has the drive and the hunger to make one ever running backs in college f3eebbnmkiikoootball history.
He is currently the all-time ACC leader in total rushing touchdowns accounted for (56). He currently ranks eighth overall all-time in the ACC in career rushing yards accounted for (4,038 yards). Players currently ahead of him are 2016 Heisman Trophy-winning Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson (4,132 yards) at sixth overall and former Florida State running back Dalvin Cook (4,464 yards) at second overall. Etienne is only 565 rushing yards away from breaking former NC State running back Ted Brown’s all-time ACC career rushing yards.
Etienne is not looking to make himself bigger than any of his teammates. He wants to create a legacy of a dominant running back while going back to receive his college. He knows he can make himself a better rusher overall and prospect for the NFL. He would not be able to control his destiny being selected somewhere late in the second round to third round as likely backup.
