2020 NFL Mock Draft: Post-2019 college football season edition
By Dakota Cox
15. Denver Broncos: Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU
Denver could look for a quality receiver to help Drew Lock’s development, but I think Fulton is too good to let slide any further, especially when you think of the need at cornerback. There’s plenty of depth at receiver where you can make some moves on Day 2.
People will argue who is CB2 behind Jeff Okudah, but I like Fulton. He could work his way up boards, but I think his value is somewhere in the middle of the first round. Most teams in desperate need of help at DB are in the 20s, so I’d take a guy with good instincts and quality tape vs. plenty of top-level receivers.
Denver could also consider plenty of other players at this spot. Grant Delpit would be a huge grab at safety. There are all sorts of skill players they could go after. This could also easily be a place where some desperate team trades up to take their quarterback, although I think that’s a bad idea.
They’d love to find an offensive tackle, but it’s still too early to take OT4 with this class. I just think Fulton has the chance to do some really special things in the NFL, and this would be a great place for him to go.
