20. Jacksonville Jaguars: Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU

With no corner or linebacker on the board that I would take with this pick, Jacksonville chooses to further bolster their offense with a skill player for whoever the quarterback ends up being. They get an absolute gem in Justin Jefferson out of LSU.

Tiger fans were hoping to get another year out of Jefferson, but he emerged as one of the best receivers in college football, and it showed mostly in the College Football Playoff. The man had four touchdowns in the first half alone against Oklahoma.

What makes Jefferson so special is his athleticism and ability to catch contested passes. He’s not as much of a speedster as Henry Ruggs, but he still has some wheels on him. Declaring for the NFL Draft was a smart choice in my mind, and I think he can have a very successful career in Jacksonville.

This offense would be built for the future with a new piece on the offensive line, Gardner Minshew making practically no money, and Leonard Fournette going into the final year of his rookie deal. Adding Jefferson would give this team a target that they could use on every level of the field. It’s not perfect, but I like the fit for both the Jags and Jefferson.
