This might be an uphill battle, but running back may not be a supreme need for the Razorbacks in 2020 with Rakeem Boyd announcing his return and three-stars Dominique Johnson and Ebony Jackson committed to this class, but Daijun Edwards would be the best of the incoming freshmen.

This is no knock on Johnson or Jackson, who could both be solid, but Edwards seems to be the most ready right away, ranked as the No. 279 overall player and No. 21 running back in the 2020 class, per the 247Sports composite.

Edwards, however, recently stated that two of his finalists have a leg up on Arkansas because they have been recruiting him longer. Both Florida State and Georgia may be the teams to beat as they have made a bigger impression early on, but Arkansas is coming on strong and just hosted him for an official visit.

It’s still possible Arkansas pulls this one off, but the Razorbacks have to hope Sam Pittman recruited him enough while he was at Georgia to develop a strong relationship with him.
