Epic battle with Washington

Week 7 brought us the highly-anticipated rivalry game with the Washington Huskies. After last season’s epic meeting the 2019 border war certainly did not feature any love lost between the two long-time Pacific Northwest rivals.

A back and forth affair, saw the Ducks’ vaunted defense look vulnerable under the passing attack of Washington quarterback Jacob Eason. The Huskies held a  28-14 lead early in the third quarter and a 31-21 lead with three minutes left in the third.

Oregon’s defense made the plays it needed to, shutting down Washington’s offense in the fourth quarter while the Ducks’ rushing attack finished the day with a solid second half, in addition to a nearly perfect game from Justin Herbert who threw four touchdown passes.
